Many workers in the third world have no education or skills, so wages naturally reflect the amount of human capital that these workers have or have not acquired. Therefore, third world wages are going to be much lower than American wages. People who demonize offshored production are only looking at the disparity between wages in industrialized and third world nations. They are missing the fact that for many of these workers there may be no other opportunities. I agree with your point that they would go back to their previous job or be unemployed if their current job is not benefiting them in some way.

I said some of the same things in my blog. America does not have a set culture. They are everyones culture. I do agree with you also when you say that America is run by other nations. This is because other nations people come here.

I feel the same way man this passage really didn't connect with me ether. I also felt that he didn't get to the point and kept beating around the bush. I also like how you really took this one back to the native American days to get your point across overall good blog.

Just like everyone else I totally agree with what you said. It's absolutly true our media try to make Americans think that we help everybody. Although like you explained we do help out a lot of people but also we hurt and sometimes kill a lot of innocent people too. Every government is going to be apart of bad acts but I feel like if we were apart of something bad it should not deal with murdering other human beings. Americans need to take a stand against the government and instead of just saying the government is doing something wrong actually take action against it. Overall great blog made a lot of great points.

I completely agree with just about everything you said in this blog. It is terrible to think our country supports these dangerous working and living conditions. I also really liked you analogy of the female Third World workers to lab rats being told their every move. Our government certainly does some good things as you've pointed out but as you stated, every good act eventually results in some bad. The work environments are clearly terrible in these countries if the workers are risking their jobs, health, and sometimes life by protesting the conditions when they know nothing will change and will have to find another scarce job. Also, its not like these corporations really help the country which is what I find the saddest part of the whole situation. These corporations simply looking for cheap labor and leaving the Third World country or firing 23-25 year old workers because the wages are "too high" is very disturbing. You'd think our government would actually try to help the nation start to develop instead of taking complete advantage of them. Anyways very good job on the blog.

Great thoughts Pratik! I definitely agree that there is a drastic difference between news coverage in the US and international coverage. It is even more striking when it is from the same company. For instance, CNN and CNN World. The same company knows how to use certain content for an American audience and other content for an international audience. Thanks for the thought-provoking post!

OBAMA WINS!!!!

QUALITIES

1. Obama is by far the most neutral candidate when it comes to color and perspectives on others. He is an African American candidate who seems to be very neutral towards any culture of people in our country. He can offer us a perspective that America has never seen, through the eyes of a minority. This could become very useful in the years to come if he becomes president.

2. I don't believe there is another candidate out there that has a strong notorious voice such as Obama. When obama talks, it really seems that he is talking to the common people of America not the wealthy upper-class or those english majors whos seem to understand everything that Hillary's or Mccains speeches intel but to me and you sitting at home. He voted against the war when so many were for it. THAT IS LEADERSHIP. LEADERSHIP is when a person will go against the odds because it is truly what he or she believes. Him being a great leader makes him an even greater role model. If he wins this election people will see that any color can win America's vote and numereous people will open their eyes and see a turn around that America needs.

3. Although Hilary may be more experienced by document, I still beleive Obama is more experienced and perhaps the most experienced in history. Not because of how long he was in office or what political issues he has be apart of but because he lives a common African American life. He said it in one of his speeches when media asked if he was white or black because he is half and half, he strongly exclaimed when he's trying to get a taxi cab In New York he clearly is black. He is a neutral candidate with the experience of middle class struggle and ethnic and diversity strugles. That is first hand experience, and that is the best kind of experience a man can live through.

ISSUES

1. I believe that other countries will open their arms far easier knowing that America's president is infact of another race. Their will be no generalities, this will be a movement. On top of his skin color Obama is muslim. This will aid America in becoming closer to the Middle East, creating relations, eliminating terror and miss conceptions of muslims, and ultimetelly bring the world together!

2. Obama has made it very clear that he wants to help the american people and his voice seems to carry a lot of trust. I believe he will be the best sutied to help create more jobs, lower taxes, and provide better healtcare to the common people.

3. Obama understands that America should not be dependent on other nations and will assumingly try to find and invest in a new energy source. He has the problems of the middle class down to a science because he has witnessed these problems and has actually lived through many of them.

4. Obama seems to be a man who wants nothing but America to redefine its once great reputation. I believe in 4-8 years not only will Education and Health care be improved but more imporatantly national unity will emerge and even world unity. He is the future, he wants to fix the present, and he wants to destroy the past image that America has optained through horrible presidents such as George W. Bush.
